A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo coastal liner Princess Beatrice (1893) at anchor in The Downs. Her port anchor is deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged amidships. Canvas dodgers are rigged on the boat deck, at the aft end of the promenade deck and in front of the bridge. The negativ e is slightly out of focus and the photograph has been taken against the sun. A note on the vertical format negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
