Looking forward from the wheelhouse on board the container ship Seatrain Valley Forge (1978) while under way at sea in rough weather. The photographer is on the port side of the bridge looking forward. The ship does not have a full cargo of containers stacked on deck. The Seatrain Valley Forge is rolling slightly to port. This is Slide 17 of a lecture given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Relief Second Officer on board the container ship Seatrain Valley Forge (1978) owned by Marejet Bereiderung GMBH & Co. from 23 November 1979 to 7 February 1980. The lecture consists of 25 slides.
