Centaur (1845)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows the main deck for the paddle steam frigate Centaur (1845). A note on the plan states alterations have been made from the engine room bulkhead to the aft part of the 4th Lieutenant's cabin on one side of the vessel and from the engine room bulkhead to the aft part of the 2nd lieutenant's cabin. The note also states that one of the cabins in the aft part of the ship has been fitted out for a flag officer. This drawing bears the signature of R. Abethell [Master Shipwright at Portsmouth Dockyard 1852-1861]. This plan is fragile, resides in pieces and is need of conservation.
