A mooring party on board a workboat in a basin in Chatham Dockyard. Leaning against the funnel is Jack Young, a hammerman who seerved in the dockyard from 1929 to 1965. Astern of the workboat, and seen from off her starboard quarter, is the twin screw dockyard tug Perseverance (1931) alongside a sloop or frigate. A museum copy of a photographic print donated by Jack Young.
