Marryat family letters.

This material relates to Rear-Admiral Joseph Henry Marryat CB (1830-1881) and his brother Arthur Marryat (1832-1894), who were nephews of the novelist Captain Frederick Marryat (1792-1848). They are letters sent home to their parents Charles Marryat (1803-1884), a London merchant, and Caroline Marryat, who lived at Cedar Lodge (later renamed Parkfield) in the Potters Bar area of Hertfordshire. Some of them are handwritten copies, which appear to be contemporary.
