A informal group portrait of the cooks in the galley on board the steam turbine tanker Bidford Priory (1960) at sea. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of the galley on the poop deck looking to port. aft and slightly to port. The cook in the foreground is of Chinese descent whilst the cook in the middle ground is of Gambian descent. The Gambian cook is standing next to the workshop which is covered with food and cooking utensils. More food and cooking utensils are stored on a shelf under the worktop. There appears to a cold meat slicing machine next to the open port side door in the background. This is Slide 13 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer for the steam turbine tanker Bidford Priory (1960) owned by Warwick Tanker Co. Ltd from 2 April 1974 to 16 July 1974. This series consists of 27 slides.
