Hermes (1953)

Scale 1:144. A dyeline copy of a plan, showing the No. 4 [main] and No. 5 [middle] decks, as fitted for the Centaur class light fleet aircraft carrier Hermes (1953). This drawing was made during the vessel's conversion to a Landing Platform Helicopter and shows the incident board for H.Q.1 and H.Q.2 [Damage Control Headquarters] on the vessel. The board would be lit up on the wall with different lights indicating which areas are active and which are inactive due to damage. This drawing shows further modifications made at Devonport Dockyard during its 1976 refit. The drawing is noted as Sheet 3 of 6.
