A crewman is standing on the forecastle deck watching the dinghy being lowered into the water. According to the autobiography of the photographer, this dinghy was loaded with 3 crewmen who went to inspect the pontoon barge Pontra Maria docked at Arzew, Oran Department, Algeria.
