Lowering the inflatable dingy from the motor tug Point Spencer (1973). The photographer is standing on the bridge deck looking down at the forecastle deck. A crewman is standing on the forecastle deck watching the dinghy being lowered into the water. According to the autobiography of the photographer, this dinghy was loaded with 3 crewmen who went to inspect the pontoon barge Pontra Maria docked at Arzew, Oran Department, Algeria. This is Slide 17 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Master for the motor tug Point Spencer (1973) owned by Smit & Cory International Port Towage Ltd, London from 22 December 1980 to 30 January 1981. This series consists of 23 slides.
