The passenger/cargo liner Nubia (1895) leaving Gibraltar with the Scots Guards for South Africa
A starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the passenger/cargo liner Nubia (1895) in service as troopship number 1 under way at Gibraltar. She is bound out for South Africa with the 1st Battalion Scots Guards on board for service in the Boer War. The ship sailed from Southampton 20 Oct. 1899 and arrived at Cape Town 13 Nov. 1899.
