On board the cutter yacht Evadne (1874) on the River Colne, Essex. The photographer is looking aft from the starboard side of the mast showing two women standing together on the stern of the boat. One of the women is wearing a striped top and a hat; the other has a roll necked jumper. On the deck in front of them is a seat made from an upturned crate with a floating cushion on it.
