Deal galleys Our Boys and Undaunted

The galley shown in a a starboard bow view on the right of negative P74977 is shown nearest to the camera from the starboard bow, its stem festooned with heavy rope which may be used to haul her down the shingle beach when launching. The other galley also shown in P74977 is partly obscured. Over the nearest boat's gunwale hangs what appears to be a sail. Behind the boat is Deal's coast road, across which stands a public house and other, early Victorian, stuccoed, bay-windowed houses.
