Selsey beach boats
A clinker-built Selsey boat regd LI191 is the principle subject of this negative, seen aground on shingle with the bows of two similar boats visible on either side, and in the background, a wooden pier. The thole pins on LI191's port gunwale and the short bowsprit rigged with a chain bobstay show the boat to be used under sail and with up to four oars when required.
