Portsmouth fishing boats
A carvel-built, gaff-rigged fishing boat, the Maud, seen from the stern quarter with the name visible on its transom, is seen moored alongside similar inshore fishing vessels before the clocktower in Portsmouth Harbour, with nets hung to dry from its mast. The bow of a much larger carvel-built wooden vessel named Tiger intrudes from the left foreground.
