Portsmouth fishing boats
The carvel-built fishing boat moored in the foreground of this negative is apparently beamier and heavier than its counterparts photographed in the sequence P75689-P75705, although of similar length on deck, and similarly rigged as a gaff cutter and half-decked. Small motor vessels lie on a slipway to the left below a weatherboarded, corrugated iron-roofed warehouse building on the quayside. Among other vessels moored behind the boat in the foreground, seen stern-on, is one whose transom bears the registration P41.
