Emsworth fishing vessels laid up at Emsworth

The scallop boat Cymba (1893,) in J.D. Foster's yard, according to Negatives index P.70000-P.79999, is seen from astern with its name and home port of Portsmouth written on its counter stern, along with, in larger letters, the initials JDF. The mast of this gaff sloop-rigged boat of ca. 45ft LOD is supported by three shrouds, but no spars are in place. Apparatus on the foredeck above an anchor winch may be for hauling dredges.
