A net is fixed to a spar hanging over the port gunwale, and ropes, and possibly nets, are heaped in the stern, behind what looks like a built-up bulkhead. Spars or oars are laid over thwarts on the port side. Behind the boat, across a shallow channel, is a cottage or cottages with two very steeply angled dormer windows.
