Bentall's wharf, Maldon
Moored against tall buildings at Bentall's wharf at Maldon are several sailing barges, the nearest of which is rendered indistinct by the condition of the negative. The second-nearest to the camera, seen from astern, is a bluff double-ended boat of some 40ft, possibly a Humber keel, with squaresail yards on her mast. The buildings nearest to the camera are of clapboard construction, and appear to be dwellings rather than warehouses or workshops.
