Looe pilchard driver at Newlyn

A transom-sterned Looe lugger is seen moored afloat in Newlyn harbour on a windless day, viewed from aft of abeam on the port side. Its name and registration number are illegible. Apparently suspended from its lowered spars overhanging the stern are numerous large net buoys. The owner or a crew member stands before the mizzen mast. Between the Looe lugger and the camera is moored a clinker-built yawl of 18-20ft, starboard bow quarter foremost, whose spritsail mizzen is hoisted.
