Dover fore-mizzen punt Argonaut

The Dover punt Argonaut, regd DR56, ca 18ft, is shown beached in Dover harbour, seen here from the port side facing inland towards the beachside road, buildings and chalk cliffs of Dover. The 'full bellied' section of the boat amidships, where the topside clinker planking appears to be doubled, is evident. Behind the boat is a fence with a sign for Townsend's Channel Ferry separating this part of the harbour beach from the ferry port. The Argonaut's mizzen mast is stepped vertically at the transom. There is no propeller at the keel.
