Two Japanese women stood in the opening in a bamboo fence

A colourised portrait photograph of two Japanese women or girls stood in the opening of a bamboo fence. Behind the two figures are pots plants and trees arranged in pots. Behind these is another bamboo fence, forming an enclosed area, behind which larger trees can be seen.
