Gurdip Singh Dhillon (mayor of Greenwich), wearing a black suit and black tie, with a mayoral chain around his neck. An unidentified woman in a blue gown stands to his left. Behind her is James Pepperell (NMM staff). On the far right of the image is David Cordingly (NMM staff). Pepperell and Cordingly both wear dinner jackets with black bowties. The group are standing in The Orangery with the tiled floor visible beneath them.

Gurdip Dhillon served as a concilllor from 1978 onwards. He was mayor during 1990-91 and awarded an MBE in 1996. He died in Coventry in 2009.
