The cargo liner City of Madras (1945) under way, possibly at Cape Town, South Africa.

A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the cargo liner City of Madras (1945) under way in coastal waters, possibly at Cape Town. She is in Ellerman livery and all wartime fittings have been removed. The masts and funnel of a large tug can be seen beyond her starboard forepart and this resembles the tugs used at Cape Town. A copy negative of a photographic print.
