The passenger liner New Australia (1931) at Southampton, Hampshire.

A starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the passenger liner New Australia (1931) under way at Southampton on final builder's trials after her rebuilding. A captioned copy negative of a heavily retouched photographic print produced from John I Thornycroft's negative number 2018 (NMM negative number N12583). The background has been deleted, the ship's outline enhanced, the anchor housed and the name over-written.
