The admiral''s accommodation on the cruiser Imperieuse (1883)
Part of the admiral's accommodation aft on the upper deck of the armoured cruiser Imperieuse (1883), flagship of the China Station. A large table on which are three silver bowls is in the foreground with a writing desk beyond it. On the desk are framed documents referring to the China Station and a rack containing headed notepaper. There is also a calender but the date is not discernible. Personal photographs are around the bulkheads and there is a bookcase which includes a copy of Debrett's Peerage.
