Foochow (Fuzhou) and the River Min
Looking south across the River Min to the southern suburbs of Foochow (Fuzhou). The White Pagoda and Black Hill are on the right in the distance. The River Min has large timber rafts on it and a very large number of sampans. A few large junks are on the right. The island is connected by bridges to both banks of the river. Note the very ornate stone carvings on the roof in the right foreground and the black Pi (spirit) residence masts in the centre. Negative number P27646 is taken from the same location.
