A port bow view, from wide off the bow, of the 3rd class protected cruiser Porpoise (1886) in No. 1 Whampoa dry dock at Kowloon, Hong Kong. She has awnings rigged and the tops of her fore and main masts are out of the picture. Single plank staging is suspended around her lower hull and her bow torpedo tube door is open. Hong Kong Island is in the background. This is very similar to negative number P27655.
