A mess hall in a military hospital in Mesopotamia
The interior of a mess hall in a Mesopotamian military hospital. The room has a multi-domed roof supported on brick-built side walls and stone pillars. About 15 male staff are sitting on cane chairs at wooden tables. One of the table legs is standing in an "H. Jones & Co, Hobart" fruit tin. There are two oil lamps, one basic and one very decorative, suspended from the roof.
