Shipping in Whitstable harbour, Kent.
Shipping alongside the outer harbour wall at Whitstable looking north from the west side of the harbour entrance at low tide. There are five vessels visible of which three brigantines are identifiable and they are all seen from off their starboard sides, ahead of the beam. The ship on the left, drying her foresails and spanker, is the Joseph (1879) and on the right drying her foresails is the Carmenta (1875). Inboard of the Carmenta (1875) and also drying her foresails is the L C Owen (1868).
