The general cargo ship Surrey (1881) on the Thames.

A very distant port bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the general cargo ship Surrey (1881) under tow of the paddle tug Powerful (1857), also seen from off her port bow, on the River Thames at Woolwich bound in from Montreal. She is fitted out with deck shelters for the carriage of livestock, probably horses, and is heading for Millwall Dock . A stackie barge is on the left and the Marine Society training ship Warspite (1833) is close to the bank left of centre in the distance.
