A very distant starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the 4 masted barque Talavera (1882) under tow in Woolwich Reach, River Thames outward for Calcutta. She has a screw tug alongside amidships and a 2 funnelled paddle tug ahead. In the left background beyond the land is the steamship Canada (1863) alongside No. 2 Shed, Royal Albert Dock. The negative has been slightly retouched.
