A portrait of two unidentified young boys.

A three-quarter length studio portrait of two young boys against a painted backdrop. A very young boy, possibly about four years of age, wearing a mock sailor suit with a very frilly white collar and bow tied ribbon round the neck, is sitting on a chair . His sailor style cap has an embroidered flower and leaf motif above the cap band which has H.M.S. Neptune on it. Standing by the chair is a slightly older boy, possibly five or six years of age, wearing a high necked jacket and knickerbocker trousers. He has a white shirt with a wide collar overlapping the jacket and a tied ribbon at the neck. He has a flat cloth cap. Vertical format.
