Marham Air Station
Signed by the artist in pencil, lower left. The Marham Air Station, in Norfolk, opened in August 1916 as a military night landing ground for the Royal Flying Corps. It closed in 1919. It was home to 51 Squadron flying R.A.F. (Royal Aircraft Factory) FE2B aircraft. These are the aircraft shown here, on the ground and above in the large expanse of sky.
