Lieutenant Thomas Burnet (ca.1810-1837)

Thomas Burnet received his lieutenant’s commission in January 1830. For the next six years he was engaged on surveying work in the Mediterranean in the 8-gun ‘Meteor’, which was renamed the ‘Beacon’ in 1831. He left her in 1836 and died shortly afterwards.
