British sailors and Marines landing ship's guns and ammunition on Corsica (32)
Stored in envelope with PAH2347-PAH2354, PAH2356.; Medium includes graphite. The tower shown is very similar to that on Mortella Point, in San Fiorenzo Bay, and probably also of 17th-century construction as a coastal strongpoint although - in this case- clearly ruinous by the time of the British invasion in 1794. The drawing was previously more loosely titled 'Blue Jackets Landing Artillery and Ammunition on Corsica',
