The Royal West India Mail Company's Steam Ship Orinoco, 2250 Tons, 300 Horse Power (Proof)

Signed and dated by the artist in the image, lower right. The date is a little unclear, but is probably 1852 - the year the ship was launched, which was often the occasion for such prints to be commissioned by the owners. Two years later 'Orinoco' was being used as a troopship for the Crimean War.
