Launch of Her Majestys Iron Armour-plated Steam Frigate Resistance 18 guns 3668 tons from Messrs Westwood, Baillie, Campbell & Cos, London Yard, Isle of Dogs, April 11th 1861

The launch of the iron armour-plated steam frigate 'Resistance'. The 6,070 tons vessel was built at Westwood, Baillie, Campbell & Cos London Yard on the Isle of Dogs. She was 280 feet long, with ram bows, and was armed with 18 guns.
