The Chilean battleship 'Libertad'
Ship portrait. With the 'Constitution', one of the last two battleships built to the designs of Sir Edward Reed, and for the Chilean navy, though bought into the Royal Navy in 1904 as the 'Triumph' and 'Swiftsure'. She was torpedoed by a U-boat in the Dardanelles during World War I and sank in twenty minutes. The ships were built by Denny's, who presented the picture to the Museum.
