A galleon

Oil painting. This stern view of a late-16th- or 17th-century galleon at sea is one of very few historical ship compositions by Everett, probably done as a response to his voyage to the West Indies in the 'Suzanne' in 1928-30. Another, BHC1354 shows a similar vessel in stern view making landfall at Monserrat. [PvdM 5/15]
