Official boat badge of HMS Sirdar
The boat badge of HMS 'Sirdar' 1918. The official design, the pattern approved in February 1927. It depicts the Order of British Empire. The badge is a shield shape with a rope twist border representing a destroyer. It is made of cast brass and is unpainted. HMS 'Sirdar' was a destroyer launched by Fairfield in 1918. She was sold in 1934. The next 'Sirdar' was an S-class submarine, built at Scott's and launched in 1943. During the remainder of the war, she was deployed against Japanese shipping in the Pacific. She was broken up in 1965.
