Oyster boats at Billingsgate in the early 19th century, with a peter boat and hatch boat to left and right (captioned beneath each 'Peter-boat' and 'Hatch boat'). Billingsgate Fish Market was the City's main place to buy seafood of all descriptions. This is a print from Cooke's 'Shipping and Craft' (1829).
