"The Representation of the Action between the British Fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Parker and the Dutch Fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Zoutman on the Dogger Bank the 5 of Augst 1781. At the time the Dutch having bore away, the English admiral filled, and passing to leeward of the Buffalo (which was unable to make sail) engaged the enemy’s headmost ships in succession, the ships astern following him up. To Vice Admiral Parker by whose signal bravery and conduct the honour of the British flag, was so ably asserted in the above memorable action. This plate is dedicated by his most obliged and devoted servants – Robert Wilkinson and Robert Pollard." The Buffalo is shown bow view in the centre foreground of the picture.
