Anchor; Single fluke
Single fluke anchor with wooden stock. Has a large anchor ring with a D shackle and swivel. This pattern of anchor is still used for permanent moorings, as there is no upward pointing fluke for a vessel at anchor to sit on with a falling tide. Frequently used in association with ship mooring buoys.
