Richard Brown
The origin of this small nameboard of the ‘Richard Brown’ is unknown. No vessel of that name seems to have been lost around Scilly or the west of England. A small Glasgow brig of the name was wrecked near Calais in 1861but if that is the ship, how this item reached the Valhalla Collection on Tresco is a mystery.
