Rummer

Rummer with a bucket bowl and a doubly-cushioned, hollow knop stem. This contains two silver groats of 1836 - the year when the denomination was first revived. The rummer has a folded foot. The bowl is inscribed: 'S.B. Dunn 1856' and depicts a vessel believed to be the 'Isabella' of Folkestone. It is is also engraved with grapes and foliage. It has been suggested this is the work of an East Coast engraver, as yet unidentified.
