Awarded to Lieutenant Cornish RN for an improved boat, October 1851. In circular Morocco covered case. Obverse: Bust of James Watt (L). Inscription (R): "JAMES WATT". Reverse: Within a wreath of palm and olive branches, the inscription: "ROYAL CORNWALL POLYTECHNIC SOCIETY INSTITUTED 1833 FIRST CLASS". Edge: "To Lieut Cornish R.N. for an Improved Boat, Octr 1851".
