Second Class Dining Saloon on the 'Olympic' (1911)
Interior of the passenger liner 'Olympic' (1911) showing the Second Class Dining Saloon, on the Saloon Deck (D Deck); a view of the starboard side, looking aft.
The design of the interiors on the 'Olympic' was mainly the work of Aldam Heaton & Co, a practice founded by John Aldam Heaton (1828-97). Heaton established a partnership with Richard Norman Shaw and was part of William Morris’ circle. He also edited four volumes on 18th-century furniture.
