Cabin Class Entrance on the 'Missanabie' (1914)

Interior of the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the entrance hall and enquiry office for Cabin Class passengers on the Lower Promenade Deck (C Deck); a view looking across to the port side.

The main Cabin Class rooms on the 'Missanabie' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926) and mostly decorated in the Georgian style. The work was carried out by Wylie & Lochhead Ltd, Glasgow. Prior to his work on the 'Missanabie', Crawley designed interiors for the sisterships ‘Empress of Asia’ (1913) and ‘Empress of Russia’ (1913).
