Cabin Class Smoking Room on the 'Missanabie' (1914)
Interior of the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the Cabin Class Smoking Room, on the Upper Promenade Deck (B Deck), a view from the starboard side, looking towards the fireplace at the after end.
The main Cabin Class rooms on the 'Missanabie' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926). The Smoking Room was finished in half-timber work. Prior to his work on the 'Missanabie', Crawley designed interiors for the sisterships ‘Empress of Asia’ (1913) and ‘Empress of Russia’ (1913).
