Cabin Class Dining Saloon on the 'Missanabie' (1914)

Interior of the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the central area of the Cabin Class Dining Saloon, on the Upper Deck (E Deck); a view showing the mirrored panels around the sides of the well, and the piano at the forward end.

The main Cabin Class rooms on the 'Missanabie' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926) and mostly decorated in the Georgian style. The work was carried out by Wylie & Lochhead Ltd, Glasgow. Prior to his work on the 'Missanabie', Crawley designed interiors for the sisterships ‘Empress of Asia’ (1913) and ‘Empress of Russia’ (1913).
