Awarded to Commander Warren Fred Postel USN. Badge, USA Order of Merit, Legionaire. Obverse: Five-rayed cross, with double points, enamelled white with red edges and each point tipped with a gold ball, with crossed arrows between each arm. Cross superimposed on a green enamelled wreath. Centre medallion blue with thirteen white stars. Reverse: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" "ANNUIT COEPTIS MDCCLXXXII". Suspended from a purple ribbon. In fitted case of issue with the ribbon bar and miniature ribbon of the Legion of Merit.
